Residency Applicants

Thank you for your interest in Bluefield Regional Medical Center’s training programs. Applications for first year programs must be submitted electronically through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Along with your application, the following documents are required in order to complete your file:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of interest
  • Personal and professional goals
  • Personal statement
  • Board scores 1, 2 & PE (original or certified copy from your medical school)
  • Original medical school transcripts
  • Three professional letters of recommendation

For intern and 4th year medical student applicants:

  • A letter of good standing
  • Recommendation from your dean

For resident applicants:

  • A letter of recommendation from your Dean
  • A letter of good standing from your program director or director of medial education
  • A letter listing successfully completed rotations from your program director or director of medical education
  • A letter listing successful completion of Comlex Step 3
